Hi there, I’m Alex, a Romanian born in 1987, just at the cusp of the fall of communism. If I were to look back, I’d say my life was marked by being raised by my grandparents in the Romanian countryside, among vineyards, fields of wheat, flowers, vegetable gardens, apple and plum trees. All nurtured by their worn, work-hardened hands.

I believe this is what sparked a sensitivity in me—being able to observe nature from a very young age showed me wonder, my place in the world, and opened the door to an interior landscape filled with abundance and feeling.

My story is somewhat classic: I dreamt of being a writer when I was young, probably as a way of expressing something in me that longed to be given a voice. Now, as I grow older, I’ve found that longing is still there, and I’m finally learning to listen to it and express it in various ways. That is the compass for my work and the act of sharing it with the world is a sacred honoring of that.

Welcome to my inner landscape.
